Reprogrammable Key Cylinders

Using special "Gold" keys, any cylinder can be quickly and easily reprogrammed by the owner/manager to disable missing keys and deny unauthorised access. Furthermore, this simple reprogramming can be carried out as many times as is necessary. Reprogrammable Cylinder locks also allow simple 'key unification' - just one key can operate any number or type of reprogrammable lock.

The benefits of this type of system are many. Some would include, no expensive lock hardware replacement, immediately disables lost/stolen keys, additional locks operable by existing key, any number of keys per lock, allows owner/manager to carry out low cost routine security changes, duplication of keys is illegal, can be retrofitted into existing euro or oval profile locks and the freedom to quickly and securely administer your own system without the expense of calling out a third party.

The system works as follows. To program a cylinder to a set of keys, take the gold key from your set of keys and insert it into the cylinder and turn half a turn clockwise and remove. Then take a silver key from the set and use it normally in the cylinder.

To reprogram a cylinder take the existing gold key and insert it into the cylinder and turn it half a turn counter-clockwise. This will disable the cylinder from operating with the existing set of keys. Repeat the original programming procedure with a new set of keys to reprogram.
